Meet Rocco!

Rocco is a young Pit Bull and Rottweiler mix who recently suffered a serious accident after being hit by a car. Sadly, his owner was unable to care for him following the accident, leaving Rocco to navigate both his recovery and the loss of the person he knew as family.

Rocco is a typical young pup with plenty of energy and a lot to learn. He would benefit from someone to help him with training and basic manners as he grows. He loves his toys and is incredibly affectionate. One of his favourite things to do with his fosters is cuddle up in bed and watch the deer in their front garden.

For now, Rocco is on restricted activity while he heals, which can be tough for such a young, energetic boy. He will need someone patient who can keep his mind busy with Kongs and treat puzzles and dedicate the time he needs to recover over the next six weeks.

Rocco has had a lot to deal with at such a young age. We are hoping to find him a patient, caring home where he can focus on healing, feel safe, and enjoy being a puppy again.

Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Rocco’s person? Apply today!

TIP: To aid our team in making the best match possible, applicants are encouraged to write a little bit about themselves when prompted.

Dog Pre-Adoption Questionnaire

The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting.

Kitten and puppy meet and greets are by application only. Some animals may not be viewable due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors.

Note that we receive a high volume of adoption inquiries each day, and may not be able to follow-up with every applicant.
