Meet Siren!

Siren is a sweet, affectionate girl who’s ready for a fresh start and someone to share all her love with. Being close to her people is one of her favourite things, especially when a long walk ends with a cozy snuggle. She has a playful side, too, and loves chasing a ball in our fenced playground and playing with her squeaky toys!

Siren is looking an adult only home, without other animals. She is seeking a kind, patient adopter who will help her keep learning. She’s very food-motivated, so practicing her basic commands is a lovely chance to share some treats, have fun and build a bond.

Siren walks well on leash but can be quite dog reactive. She’ll need someone who is comfortable giving her space and understands that she is going to take time to socialize with dogs. Off-leash dog parks aren’t for Siren. Walks with her people and playtime in a fenced space are more her style.

Spending time alone is still a work in progress. Siren can be quite vocal about missing her people, and she’ll need a family willing to patiently help her become more comfortable on her own.

Siren came into our care after being abandoned at our centre. We’re looking forward to seeing her begin a new chapter with a family who will give her the care and love she deserves. She’s currently recovering from skin irritation caused by a flea reaction and is already looking much better. She’ll likely need periodic medicated baths while her skin continues to heal.

She also has a spay, lumpectomy and dental surgery booked at our partner veterinary clinic in Surrey. Her adopters will need to be able to take her to and from this appointment on Friday, Nov 6th.

Stop by the West Vancouver location to experience Siren’s charm for yourself! Our adoption hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 12-4 p.m. Due to the anticipated high level of interest, we will only be reviewing applications in person.
