Nuages is a beautiful short haired tuxedo cat who was practically a kitten herself when she became pregnant. Nuages thoroughly enjoyed having and raising her kittens and is close to ready to find herself her own home where she can be the queen. Nuages grew up semi-feral and will require a patient and quiet household that can give her time to decompress. Initially, Nuages greeted her foster mom with hisses and swipes. Slowly but surely, as Nuages was given the time and space to take everything in, she started to show signs that she really wanted to be close with her foster mom but was a little unsure. Her foster mom let Nuages approach her on her own and overtime, the tentative walk-bys became gentle Nuages-led rubs against her foster mom’s legs. This slowly turned into lying on her foster mom’s feet. Almost 3 months later and Nuages now tolerates (and enjoys!) being pet (always on Nuages’ terms), hanging out on a lap, and even will even purr when picked up and pet. Nuages has been so brave and has made incredible progress in learning to trust people. She deserves all the love, safety, and warmth for the rest of her life. Nuages has indicated that she would prefer to be the only cat of the household, unless adopted with her son Wish <3
