Get ready for a Creature Feature! Creature is a young, playful, kitten who came into the SPCA as a stray at a very young age. Creature was pretty scared when she was found and is the kind of kitten who will need some time and lots of love to help her learn that the world isn’t so scary. She is still young and has learned that pets from people are nice, but she has strong boundaries and will likely grow up to be a cat who doesn’t love to be held or on your lap. She loves affection but wants to approach things on her own terms. Creature may initially prefer to observe things from a cozy hiding spot until she feels safe and secure, but soon her curiosity and playful side will win out. For those with a little patience and a lot of kindness, Creature will grow into a loyal and loving companion.

Creature has been growing up in a foster home with another cat and a dog and would likely do well with other animals, and possibly older cat savvy kids with proper, slow introductions. Because Creature was raised as a single kitten, it’s taken her longer to learn appropriate playing methods and will need continued redirection, so she doesn’t grow up playing too roughly with her humans or other four-legged companions! If you’re looking for a cute kitten with lots of potential who just needs a chance to shine, Creature may be the bundle of love to share your heart and home. Show her the love she needs, and she will soon be full of kitten antics and playfulness.

Adopting a kitten is a big responsibility and a lifetime commitment. Adopters need to provide all the love and care needed to help their kitten have a long, happy, healthy life. Kittens need lots of enrichment and play time, socializing, plus a good quality diet, and regular vet checkups, as with any animal.
