Meet Earl! 🐾❤️

Earl is a handsome 7-year-old black and white Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix with a heart much bigger than his sometimes-cautious exterior. Earl hasn’t always had the easiest life, and there are times when certain situations can bring back difficult memories. When he feels overwhelmed or triggered, he may become shy and withdrawn, so he needs a patient person who will give him the time and space to feel safe.

But when Earl knows he’s safe, you get to see the incredibly sweet and loving dog hiding underneath. He can be wonderfully affectionate and loves being close to his people. He’s also a big fan of meat-although he can be hilariously picky about his treats! ❤️🥩

Earl does well with female dogs, but he needs to be the only male dog in his home. A calm, understanding environment where he knows what to expect will help him thrive.

Earl may need a little extra patience and understanding, but he has so much love to give in return. For the person willing to earn his trust, Earl has the potential to be a deeply devoted and affectionate companion who will remind you every day that gentle hearts can survive hard beginnings.
