Meet Becky! Becky is a young lab mix with love in her heart and springs in her legs. Becky’s favorite place to be is in your lap, in your arms, at your feet, or by your side. She hasn’t had the easiest life, and had a litter of puppies before she was a year old, but you wouldn’t guess it from her loving personality and playful demeanour. Becky is an active girl through-and-through, and would love a family who will take her for hikes and outdoor adventures.

Since Becky didn’t get much of a chance at a puppyhood before having puppies herself, she is still working on her manners and learning not to jump up at people to greet them. She also gets a little overwhelmed by loud street noises, and prefers to go for walks in quieter neighbourhoods. She would likely be fine in a home with older children, but due to her jumping up she may accidentally knock over little ones during her enthusiastic play. She gets along well with other dogs, but she can be wary of some (human) men. She may need some time in her new home to adjust to being home alone for longer stretches of time, as she has been showing some separation anxiety while here at the shelter. That being said, we are confident that once she falls into a routine with her new family she will settle right down, so long as she knows her people will always come back to her.
