Meet the boy with a big heart and even bigger ears!

Bagel was brought to the shelter as a stray with an unknown past, but we’ve learned a bit about him in the short time he’s been here.

This sweet little guy is a BIG-time cuddler, and he just melts when he gets ear scratches. He really loves people and struggles to be left alone for long periods of time. When he is, he is likely to use that very special beagle voice to let everyone know he would like some company!

His second favourite thing would definitely be all things food. As beagles typically do, he loves to follow his nose to find anything edible, so scent work and treat games are his thing! He responds incredibly well to positive reinforcement using treats.

Because we don’t know much about his past, and he hasn’t been here long, we’re still learning more about Bagel each day. We aren’t sure how he would do living with another dog or with cats. His ideal home would certainly be a place where he frequently has someone around, and gets lots of attention as well as opportunity to practice using that talented nose!
