Meet Ironhide – A Quiet Gentleman Looking for His Safe Place
Ironhide may not be the first cat to run up and introduce himself, but underneath that nervous exterior is a sweet boy who is looking for someone willing to let him take things at his own pace.

This handsome fellow is a regressively FeLV-positive cat. That means his immune system has controlled the virus so that it is not currently actively replicating in his bloodstream. Cats with regressive FeLV are not considered actively infectious while the infection remains regressive, although the virus can potentially reactivate in the future.

Because of Ironhide’s FeLV status, he will need to be the only cat in his home, or he can be adopted with another cat who also has regressive FeLV. His feline freinds in shelter that are also FELV regressive are Optimus Prime, Eeyore, Jolene, or Rhinestone.

DON’T let the FeLV label scare you away from this special boy. Ironhide is simply looking for a home that understands his needs and is willing to give him the time and patience he deserves.

He may need a little while to feel comfortable, but once he knows he’s safe, we hope he’ll discover that life can be pretty wonderful. A quiet home, a cozy bed, some gentle encouragement, and a person who understands that trust takes time could be exactly what Ironhide needs.

If you’re looking for a handsome little soul who needs someone to believe in him, Ironhide could be your guy.
