Sweet Eeyore may have a quiet, thoughtful way about her, but she has plenty of love waiting for the right person. Like some of her feline friends, she’s looking for someone who will give her the time, patience, and kindness she needs to feel safe and comfortable.

Eeyore came from a home with many cats, and she’s used to having feline friends around. She has also tested positive for regressive FeLV (feline leukemia virus). Regressive FeLV means the virus is present in her body but is not currently actively multiplying. Cats with regressive FeLV can live happily for years, although their health should be monitored and they may need extra veterinary care if they become unwell.

Because FeLV can spread between cats through close, prolonged contact, Eeyore needs to be the only cat in her new home, unless she is adopted with other FeLV-positive cats from her group.

Eeyore could potentially find her forever home alongside Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Rhinestone, Jolene, or Parton – familiar faces who already share her FeLV status. There’s something pretty special about giving a whole group of friends the chance to stay together.

Eeyore is also regrowing her coat after a flea infestation, so her beautiful fur is still making its comeback. She may be a little bit of a work in progress right now, but she’s every bit as deserving of a loving home and a cozy place to call her own.

Her ideal home will be indoor-only, with someone who understands that she may need a little time to settle in and who is prepared to keep up with regular veterinary care. In return, Eeyore has the chance to enjoy all the simple things cats love: soft beds, sunny windows, tasty treats, gentle attention, and a person to call her own.
