Meet Chester!

Chester is our very own Treeing Walker Coonhound, and he embodies all the wonderful traits of his breed. His beautiful “singing” voice is sure to get your attention, and we have to admit, it often earns him a few extra treats and walks! Chester is currently a little underweight, so he certainly appreciates the occasional snack.

When meeting new people, Chester can be quite enthusiastic and excited, but once he settles in, his affectionate side comes out and he loves nothing more than a good cuddle. He has previously lived with another dog, although we have not yet had the opportunity to assess him with other dogs here at the shelter.

Do you think you could be Chester’s person? Here are some ways to find out:

1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during our adoption viewing hours. Our visiting hours are:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 12-5pm
Thursday, Public Holidays: closed
Saturday, Sunday: 12-5pm

2.) Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.
