Meet Buttercup! Buttercup is a lovely, shy bunny who recently found his way back into our care through no fault of his own. He was originally bonded with another boy bunny, but unfortunately their bond broke a few years ago and things have never been quite the same since.

Buttercup has a permanently misshapen nose from an injury sustained during that time. The damage is permanent, but it doesn’t change who he is or make him any less deserving of a loving home. It’s simply a little reminder of his past.

We’re just happy to see Buttercup find a home where he can feel safe and loved. He doesn’t necessarily need to be bonded with another bunny, and we aren’t sure if he would be able to bond with even a spayed female. What matters most is finding him a family who will appreciate him for the sweet boy he is.

Shelter life can be pretty scary for Buttercup, and he’s currently taking daily oral medication to help soothe some of that stress. He’s quite shy at first, but if you have treats in your hand, he’ll happily climb all over you. He’s a bit of a lazy guy who is perfectly content to hang out with his humans, enjoying some treats and a cozy space.
