Meet Akilah:

This lovely husky mix is ready to find a calm and patient pack to call her own. She came into our care through no fault of her own. We know nothing of her past history nor experiences and we’re learning new things about each other every day.

What we do know is that she is a sweet, people-oriented girl who loves being close to her humans and soaking up all the pets and affection she can get. She has built strong trust with her caregivers and enjoys spending time with the people she knows.

She prefers not to have her feet handled and would benefit from a family that can respect her boundaries while continuing to build her confidence through positive experiences. She knows some of the basics and will often sit and stay when asked, though she will benefit from continued training and guidance as she settles in to her new home.

We are open to walk in’s Tuesday – Saturday 12 pm -4 pm (except for Stat Holidays).
