Meet Elphie!

Elphie is a sweet, gentle girl who is still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. She can be a little nervous and gets spooked easily, but she is making great progress every day. With the help of her sister and her dog friends, she is starting to come out of her shell and discover how much fun life can be.

For now, Elphie’s favourite place is curled up on a staff or volunteer’s lap getting cuddles, but she is also beginning to enjoy exploring outside and playing with her friends.

Elphie has persistent pupillary membrane in one of her eyes. She will be seeing a specialist to determine treatment going forward.

Elphie would love a calm and patient home where she can take things at her own pace. Give her a little time and love, and you’ll get to watch this sweet girl blossom.

Dog Pre-Adoption Questionnaire

The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm.

Kitten and puppy meet and greets are by application only. Some animals may not be viewable due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors.

Note that we receive a high volume of adoption inquiries each day, and may not be able to follow-up with every applicant.
