We are still getting to know this very loving, goofy boy.
Mala loooves to snuggle and play with his squeaky toys. Given the chance he crawls right into a lap and could spend hours being pet.
Mala’s world has been very small so he will need the help of gentle, dedicated guardians to guide him and give him the consistent food and attention he’s been lacking. Mala has been working on gaining weight and recovering from food insecurity so he can be quite frantic about his meals. Mala knows “sit” and “shake,” although he is working his enthusiasm and giving both paws at once. As he is still anxious about getting enough to eat, and does not have much experience living indoors, his people will need to make sure there is nothing available to snatch from the counter or anything potentially yummy in the garbage. This history has caused some food resource guarding, but he continues to make improvement as he learns the food is readily available and his weight increases.
Mala would do best as the only animal in the home while he adjusts to his new life but shows positive interest in other dogs.
