Meet Bugs and Dimples, a sweet pair of young female gerbils looking for their forever home together! These little ladies came into our care after their previous family realized they weren’t able to continue providing the care they needed. Now they’re ready to find a home where they can spend their days digging, exploring, and making adorable gerbil tunnels together.

Dimples, the brown gerbil, is the brave and curious one of the pair. She’s always ready to investigate what’s going on around her! Bugs, the white gerbil, is a little shyer at first, but once she feels comfortable, she’s a sweet little cuddle bug who loves spending time with her best friend.

Gerbils are active, social little animals who love to dig, burrow, chew, and explore. Bugs and Dimples will need to go home together in a large glass tank enclosure with a secure mesh lid. A minimum of 40 gallons is recommended for a pair, with lots of deep bedding (around 10-12 inches or more) so they can build tunnels and do what they love most: dig!

They’ll also need a large solid wheel (around 11-12 inches in diameter) so they can run comfortably without bending their backs. Their home should include plenty of enrichment, like cardboard tubes and boxes, untreated wood, hay, and other safe chew items to keep their continuously growing teeth healthy and their curious minds busy.

A healthy gerbil diet includes a high-quality gerbil food mix, fresh water, and small amounts of fresh vegetables and occasional treats. With proper care, gerbils typically live around 3-5 years and make wonderful little companions. If you’re looking for two tiny friends with big personalities, Bugs and Dimples might be the perfect pair for you! These sweet girls can’t wait to find a home where they can continue their adventures together.
