Gherkin has an adoption pending!

Gherkin came into care through Animal Protection Services underweight, in need of deworming, hoof care and treatment of an infection in his jaw. Since coming into care he has been gelded, caught up on hoof care, deworming and vaccines and undergoing treatment of his jaw infection. His history is unknown, but he appears to have had very little handling and is not halter broke. While he is well underway to recovering physically, he will need an experienced and patient home to continue to build trust with people, and work on his haltering, leading, tying, hoof handling, etc. But he’s a sweet guy just looking for his person to love and care for him, he just had a rough start to life and needs that second chance to really thrive.
