Gus here is the sweetest boy who hasn’t had much stability in his life and is very eager to find his new beginnings!

We don’t have a whole lot of history on Gus, but we have been learning lots about him since he has been in our care. He can be a bit shy with new people but warms up very quickly and will soak up all the attention he can get. Gus is a goofy boy, and he really enjoys being outdoors soaking up the sunshine. He has a beautiful coat that will require regular brushing/grooming to keep him looking his best. Gus loves being brushed and is always eager for affection. He has done very well when walking on a leash and enjoys taking in all the smells that the world has to offer.

Gus isn’t very used to living consistently indoors, but he is getting more accustomed to being inside. Gus has been used to being with his person at all times. He has only recently been neutered and habitually marks so he may benefit from a belly band, and regular bathroom breaks while his hormones settle and he adjusts to living in a home. Gus would prefer to hang out with his people 24/7 and does have separation anxiety. Crate training may be a good idea for the times he must be left alone. A walk and treat puzzle before alone time would help keep him busy and ease his anxiety. He’s working very hard on basic training and is a quick learner! Gus does not do well sharing a home with other dogs, so he would be best suited as an only dog, although he may be able to make dog friends outside of the home.
