Meet Farmer!

Farmer is a sturdy little Frenchie with a big personality. This confident, wiggly fellow is happiest when he’s spending time with his favorite humans, soaking up attention and making new friends wherever he goes.

Like a pup who’s spent most of his days close to home, Farmer is still learning about the world around him. He has had limited experience outside and is currently working on his leash-walking skills and housetraining. With patience, positive reinforcement, and plenty of encouragement, he’s sure to gain confidence as he explores new sights, sounds, and adventures. Since he’s had so little experience with the world around him, you can expect that lots of things will be new for him and he will need slow, desensitization work to help him navigate the world.

Farmer is looking for an adopter who understand and appreciate the unique needs of the French Bulldog breed. As with many flat-faced (brachycephalic) dogs, Farmer may have breathing challenges, and adopters should be prepared for the medical care that may come with owning a Frenchie. In the future, he may require BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome) surgery to help him breathe more comfortably and improve his quality of life.

Please Note: Farmer is set to be neutered on Friday, July 17th. Interested applicants will need to be able to take him to/from his appointment (costs covered by the BCSPCA).

Because of the volume of applications we receive for small dogs, we will only be accepting applications for Farmer in person. Adoption hours are 12-4pm, Tuesday-Sunday (closed on Mondays). Thank you.
