Meet Arthur!

Arthur is a 12-year-old Pitbull with a heart as big as his smile. Despite everything he has endured, Arthur remains affectionate, social, and endlessly devoted to people. He loves attention, snacks, car rides, and being close to his humans, and his capacity for love is truly remarkable.

When Arthur arrived in our care, he was in heartbreaking condition. Years of untreated skin issues had left him very uncomfortable. Both of his ears were painfully swollen with severe hematomas. Yet through it all, Arthur never stopped trusting people. He never stopped wagging his tail, seeking affection, or believing that better days were ahead.

Thanks to ongoing veterinary care, proper nutrition, and a safe place to heal, Arthur is finally getting the life he always deserved. He recently underwent ear surgery to address severe inflammation and is currently recovering with the help of daily ear medication and a protective ear wrap. His skin continues to improve, his fur is growing back, and his gentle, grateful spirit shines brighter every day. Arthur will also require a dental procedure in the future to help clean and repair his aging teeth.

Arthur is looking for a compassionate foster-to-adopt home willing to continue supporting him through the remainder of his medical care. His future adopter will need to be able to transport him to his follow-up veterinary appointments as his ears continue to heal, but Arthur makes every trip worthwhile-he absolutely loves car rides.

Despite his age and medical needs, Arthur still has so much life and love to share. He greets new friends with a wagging tail and a hopeful face, happily soaks up attention, and never turns down a treat or mealtime.
