Meet Happy

Add to favourites

Meet Happy! This sweet girl is looking for a patient and understanding home that can help her continue learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and cared for. Coming from a hoarding situation, Happy missed out on many of the experiences puppies need to confidently navigate the world. She is undersocialized and can be fearful of new people and unfamiliar situations. Happy takes time and patience (and snacks) to warm up, but once she starts to trust you, her sweet nature shows through.

When Happy arrived in care, she was extremely underweight and had to be placed carefully on a refeeding plan. Food is still the highlight of her world, so her future family will need to understand that her relationship with food comes from survival instincts and she is prone to scavenging. As she learns to be safe, she will need supervision to learn safe habits.

Happy absolutely adores her siblings and finds a lot of comfort in their presence. A confident canine companion may help her to continue building confidence.

Watching a dog like her slowly discover safety, trust, and love is an incredibly rewarding journey. Happy is ready to start that next chapter in her life and have a patient home who will celebrate even her smallest victories!

If Happy sounds like the right fit for your home, please fill in an application below!
