Quiche is a sweet and gentle boy who came to us from a property with many other cats. Through it all, he has remained affectionate and kind-hearted, and he’s ready to find a loving home where he can truly relax and be cherished.
Quiche has tested positive for FeLV, however his results are most consistent with a regressive infection. This means his immune system has successfully contained the virus, and cats like Quiche are considered unlikely to develop symptoms related to FeLV. In some cases, the virus may even be eliminated entirely, remain at very low levels, or (less commonly) reactivate later in life.
FeLV is only contagious to other cats and cannot be passed to humans or other animals. While regressive cases like Quiche’s are generally not considered contagious, we recommend, out of an abundance of caution, that he be placed in a home without other cats-unless they are also FeLV regressive.
