Meet Rupert!

Rupert has been on quite the journey with the SPCA team and his foster. He came to us with a severe skin infection, but after months of care and love, he has made an incredible recovery. His hair has almost completely grown back and he has gained weight.

Once he started to feel better, Rupert’s sweet personality began to shine. He loves his toys, enjoys his walks, and absolutely adores other dogs. His gentle nature even helped other dogs in the shelter come out of their shells.

Rupert is now thriving in his foster home and showing off his silly, loving side. He would do best in a home with another dog or with people who are home often, as he can have some separation anxiety.

Rupert will need lifelong medication for his thyroid and ongoing care for his skin and ears.

Most importantly, Rupert deserves to spend the rest of his life pain free and surrounded by love. He is truly adored by everyone at the shelter and we cannot wait to see him find his perfect home.

Dog Pre-Adoption Questionnaire

The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting.

Kitten and puppy meet and greets are by application only. Some animals may not be viewable due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors.

Note that we receive a high volume of adoption inquiries each day, and may not be able to follow-up with every applicant.
