Demi is a shy, but sweet little beauty who came to the SPCA when she was rescued from a cat colony in a small rural community. We don’t know if she ever had a home before or not but she certainly is looking forward to finding her fur-ever family and a place she can be cherished. Could it be you?
Demi needs a little time to adjust in a new environment and may initially want to tuck herself away in a safe space to observe the newness around her. Once she’t comfortable Demi would love lots of pets and attention, and is very affectionate, even demanding of your love. Demi would likely be most comfortable in a calm, quiet home without young children, where she can take her time to feel safe and really start to blossom. Once comfortable we’re certain her curious and playful side will come out. It is recommended Demi be an indoor only cat due to her slightly nervous nature and the fact she has previously been exposed to a feline upper respiratory virus. Thankfully Demi never became sick with the virus but there is a small possibility that she may be a carrier. Demi would likely due great in a home with other cats but due to her exposure, any cats in the home should be kept up to date on their vaccination as a precaution. We’re not sure how Demi would do with dogs or older, cat savvy kids so proper, slow introductions would be very important. In the right home Demi will make a wonderful, loving companion.
