My name is Oscar, and I’m a 7‑year‑old Mini Dachshund with a long body, a curious heart, and a future I’m just starting to dream about.
I’ve heard so many wonderful things about this beautiful place, and I’m really hopeful that my next chapter begins here. You’re probably wondering how I ended up on this journey. That’s a story I might share one day-once I feel safe and settled enough to tell it. For now, I’d rather focus on what’s ahead, because the truth is… there’s so much I haven’t seen or done yet.
That means a lot of things in life will be brand new to me. Walks on a leash, for example-I’m still figuring those out and will need a patient human to help me learn. I’m also learning that people can be kind and gentle, so if I seem a little cautious at first, please know it’s not personal. Once I realize you’re safe, I promise I’ll try my very best.
I’m a quiet soul who needs time, consistency, and understanding to truly shine. I may not be the dog who’s ready to jump into everything right away, but I am the kind of dog who will quietly steal your heart.

***I also want to be upfront-I have a couple of things on my to‑do list. I need some dental work to help improve my smile, and while they’re at it, I’ll be neutered too. The good news? Everything is already booked! I just need a loving family who can take me to my appointment and support me through any follow‑up care.
