Meet Orion!

Orion is a sensitive and initially shy young dog who prefers to take things at his own pace. When meeting new people, he may choose to hide behind his trusted humans or politely avoid being touched until he gets just the right sniff in to give him the okay to be his confident and sometimes silly self. He would do best with a patient and understanding home that will give him that time to get to know them and others, as well as help him build that confidence. Orion may do well with a confident and social dog to help him navigate these new situations.

Once he’s comfortable around you, Orion turns into quite a playful boy! He’s still young and full of energy, so would love an active home that can take him for plenty of walks and adventures. You can often find him jumping up or bouncing off you when he’s especially excited and has one of the widest grins we’ve seen! He is also quite food and treat motivated, so will often do frequent check ins on walks so that he can get a tasty snack.

Overall, Orion would thrive in a home with the following:
– Adult only or older children
– Eager and active family that is willing to put in some basic training
– People who can manage his reactivity and discomfort with new people and surroundings
– People who respect his space and allow him to come out of his shell at his own pace
