Meet Ogopogo, this mysterious, elusive guy is just waiting for the right person to catch his heart. This handsome but very shy, sweet boy came to the SPCA from a home with too many cats to manage. He is looking for cat savvy calm, quiet home without children. He would probably do well with other animals, particularly another cat or two, with proper, slow introductions. He can be quite anxious and likes to have a safe place to hide and observe things from while he adjusts and becomes comfortable. He should be indoor only due to his easily startled nature. He’s looking for a loving guardian who will take the time to show him that people and things aren’t as scary as they seem. With a gentle hand, patience, and lots of love from his new guardian(s) he will certainly come out of his shell and his young, playful and curious side will win out over his caution. In the right environment he’ll start to blossom into the loving, sweet companion he is destined to be but it will take work by his adopter. Ogopogo already has come such a far way and loves having his pets and cheek rubs but takes time to build trust and may swat away hands at first if he feels scared.
