Meet Honky Tonk! Honky is a 1-year-old Mastiff/Pitbull mix searching for his furrever home.

Honky came to us as a stray, so his past is a mystery. What we do know about him is that he is the goofiest good boy around! At heart he is a silly, goofy, and loveable giant, and when he is with his people, his true colours really shine. He is a bright and affectionate boy who is eager to please.

Honky is quite treat motivated and gets very excited when treats are around! When the leash comes out, Honky is always ready to go, he loves a good adventure whether it’s romping around or trotting along nicely on leash. This up-beat boy is always bringing a smile wherever he goes and is more than happy to make new friends of all kinds.

Honky is presumed to be a Mastiff/Pitbull mix, but we cannot be 100% sure without a DNA test. Honky’s ideal guardian would be someone who has experience with large, powerful working breeds. Prospective adopters should be prepared for the high-energy requirements of his breeds. He is eagerly awaiting a guardian who will commit the time and energy to help him become the dog he is meant to be. He is at the age where training and routine are critical, and would benefit from ongoing socialization, training, enrichment, ample exercise and a structured routine to rely on.

**Please note: This happy guy has a condition called “Happy Tail” where an injury to the tail is unable to heal due to movement, size, and activity. Because of this, Honky Tonk is available for Foster-To-Adopt while he awaits his tail amputation Surgery on April 14th**
