Meet Darla:

Darla came into our care when her previous owner unfortunately passed away, initially frightened of the shelter environment it took poor Darla some time to adjust to her new surroundings. Each day staff learn more about her personality as she becomes more comfortable in the shelter. Darla enjoys affection and loves some good chin scritches. She does best in a calm quiet environment as she can easily become overwhelmed by excessive commotion. She did previously live with another cat, however she doesn’t seem to be the biggest fan of other cats so would likely appreciate being a solo kitty in her forever home. If you have a quiet home and are looking for sweet cat with just a pinch of sass Darla might be the one for you!

Darla did come into care severely overweight so has been put on a special diet to help her become the best version of herself. Additionally, she has been diagnosed with grade 2 periodontal disease and it has been recommended by a veterinarian that she receive dental care in the “near future” however at this time it is not yet necessary. Adopters should be prepared to follow up with their vet regarding Darla’s weight loss journey and oral health.

Walk-ins are prioritized.

We are open Tuesday – Saturday 12 pm -4 pm (except for Stat Holidays).

In order to prepare for your visit, you can submit a Pre-Adoption Questionnaire as well at;
