Meet Ziggy! Ziggy is a delightful 2-and-a-half year-old Border Collie mix, he is a loveable goofball with a big heart, and a serious appreciation for snacks!

Border Collies are known for their sharp minds, loyal hearts, and expressive personalities, and Ziggy is no exception. Ziggy is a bright, energetic, fun-loving guy who likes to live life at full speed! Ziggy would make a lovely training prospect as he is eager to learn and use his brilliant collie brain. He’s playful, affectionate, and absolutely loves being around his people. Cuddles, attention and goofing around are some of his favourite hobbies.

Ziggy came to us as a stray, so his past is unknown. What we do know is that he would benefit from ongoing training. Ziggy is still learning his basic manners and at times, he doesn’t think they’re necessary. Any prospective adopter should be prepared to work on basic manners and continued socialization to help Ziggy flourish into a balanced and well-rounded dog! Ziggy is very food motivated, and when snacks appear he suddenly becomes a much more attentive student.

Border Collies are energetic, loyal, and headstrong working-breed dogs who really do best when they have a job to do. Any prospective adopter should be prepared to meet the high energy requirements of his breed. Ziggy would thrive with plenty of walks, space to play, attention, outdoor time, and other forms of mental and physical stimulation. Breed experience with Border Collies or similar working breed knowledge would be an asset for any prospective adopter; Ziggy is truly the embodiment of pure energy who would love for his people to be as passionate about life as he is! Ziggy would do best with someone who can appreciate his goofy spirit, laugh at his antics, and support him as he settles in to his furrever home!

While Ziggy is a lovebug with the people he knows, he can be a little shy when meeting new people, especially men. He just needs a bit of time to warm up and realize that new people might also be potential treat dispensers. Once he feels comfortable, his silly, affectionate personality really shines.
