Delicate, soft, and just a little reserved – Basmati is a gentle 1-year-old boy with a tender heart. Like the rice he’s named after, he’s light and lovely… but he needs the right warmth to truly fluff up and shine.

Basmati is on the shyer side and prefers to take his time getting to know new people and surroundings. He’s not the bold, jump-into-your-lap type (at least not yet!), but with patience, kindness, and a calm home, he’ll slowly blossom into a devoted companion. Watching a shy kitty gain confidence is one of the sweetest journeys – and Basmati is ready to take that journey with someone special.

He would absolutely love a confident cat friend in the home. Having another kitty buddy will help him feel safe, learn the ropes, and build his bravery. A feline role model could make all the difference for this sensitive boy.

Basmati is looking for an indoor-only foster-to-adopt home in the Nanaimo area while he awaits his neuter appointment. This gives him the perfect chance to settle in, build trust, and start feeling at home before everything is finalized.
