Meet Rain 🌧️🤍

Rain is a beautiful 2-year-old Saanen doe with a soft soul and a curious heart. On March 11th, she welcomed two healthy baby boys and has been an attentive mother ever since. Now that her boys are weaned and this chapter is behind her, Rain is ready to find a home where she can relax and truly come into her own!

Rain came into our care as a stray, and much of her life before us is unknown. She is still learning that people can be kind and trustworthy, and she has made incredible progress during her time with us. Rain is becoming much friendlier with her human friends and is growing more confident every day. She happily accepts treats, eagerly comes over for grain, and is becoming increasingly comfortable with pets and scratches. It has been wonderful to watch her build trust and start to enjoy human companionship.

Like most goats, she thrives as part of a herd, and this is essential for her wellbeing. She would need to go to a home with other goats she can ease into living with. She could also be adopted alongside her friend Wyatt or with her kids by her side! Goats need companionship to be happy.

She is young and still learning about the world. With patience, routine, and positive handling, Rain has the potential to continue blossoming into a confident and trusting goat. Rain will require an experienced goat home or someone willing to learn about proper goat care, along with a commitment to providing a safe, low-stress environment where she can live comfortably. Patience and understanding are key, as well as a space where she can relax after all she has been through.

Rain is negative for CAE, CL, and Johne’s disease.
