My name is Jerry! I’m a 3‑year‑old Blue Tick Hound mix, and yes, I am extremely handsome. Like “make‑you‑gasp‑a-little” handsome. Very important fact.

I should also mention… I’m kind of huge. Like 115‑pounds‑of‑dog huge. A whole lot of hound. So my new family should be ready for some serious muscle attached to a VERY curious nose. When I catch a smell, I follow it with the determination of a fluffy freight train.

I know a few simple cues, and I try soooo hard, but I could definitely use some gentle practice. A patient and spacious environment will help me learn how to be the best giant goofball I can be. I’m basically a big guy with only a couple brain cells bouncing around in there – but they’re working overtime and doing their best!

I also need to confess something… I LOVE chew toys. I don’t just love them – I obliterate them. I have a special talent for destroying even the ones labeled “indestructible.” It’s practically my superpower. Please have backup toys ready.
The humans here don’t know much about my past. Honestly? I don’t remember much either. So let’s start fresh together. New home, new life, new adventures filled with walks, sniffing expeditions, and more sniffing.
