Meet Toby
Hi, I’m Toby!
I came into the care of the BCSPCA when I was found wandering in the North and walked up to a friendly ladies house! She was really thoughtful and brought me straight away to the shelter so I could find my new home. I’ve traveled all the way from Dawson Creek to West Vancouver in search of my new home.
Unfortunately, because I was a stray there isn’t much known about my history. I am looking for an adult only home with an active couple who loves the Great Outdoors! I would be happiest running, playing, hiking and spending a great deal of my time outside, hanging out with my human friends. I can be insecure with new dogs and require an experienced guardian who can help me build me confidence and socialization. I am looking for a home that can ensure I am secure at all times, as I have a history of escaping both in the North and in the shelter. As soon as that door opens, I’m outta there! My ideal house would be one with a fenced yard, that way if I happen to sneak by you, I’m still safe in the garden! I am incredibly friendly with people once I feel safe with them. Sometimes when people are really exciteable, I can get a little nervous and submissive pee. I am working on this though, and I have a neuter coming up which should help, too! I have lots of energy and LOVE to play, and hope you will take a chance on me.
You can send in an application to the BCSPCA West Vancouver shelter, or stop by to meet me from 12m-3pm Tuesday-Sunday!
Note: I am being neutered on June 12th and won’t be available for viewing that day.
