Meet Alice
Meet Alice ❤️
Some stories stay with you, and Alice’s is certainly one of them.
You may remember Alice from the spring of 2025, when she first arrived at our Centre as a bright-eyed, happy puppy full of curiosity, love, and all the joy that comes with being young. It didn’t take long for her to find a family of her own, and we were thrilled to see her begin what we hoped would be a lifetime of happiness.
For the next 18 months, Alice lived with her family before circumstances led her back into our care earlier this October. During that time, Alice developed significant skin issues that require ongoing management and treatment. While we do not know exactly how her condition progressed, what we do know is that when she returned to us, she was in desperate need of comfort, care, and healing.
Thankfully, Alice landed exactly where she needed to be.
Since returning, she has been flourishing in the care of one of our incredible foster families. With weekly medicated baths, antibiotics, a carefully managed diet, and plenty of patience and love, Alice has made remarkable progress. Her skin is healing, her comfort is improving, and perhaps most importantly, her spirit remains as beautiful as ever.
Despite everything she has been through, Alice continues to greet each day with a wagging tail and a heart full of love. She hasn’t let her challenges define her. She still believes people are wonderful, that cuddles are worth seeking out, and that every new day brings something to be excited about.
Now, Alice is ready for her next chapter.
We are searching for a compassionate and committed family who can continue the journey she has already begun. Her skin condition will likely require long-term management, and future adopters should be prepared for ongoing veterinary care, specialized nutrition, and regular maintenance to keep her feeling her best.
That said, we can promise you this: Alice is worth every bit of effort.
The family who welcomes Alice into their home won’t just be adopting a dog. They’ll be gaining a loyal companion whose resilience is inspiring, whose affection is genuine, and whose gratitude shines through in every tail wag and happy smile.
Alice has already proven how strong she is. Now she just needs someone willing to walk beside her as she continues to heal, grow, and thrive.
Could you be the happy ending this sweet girl has been waiting for? 🐾💕
