Luna is, quite literally, larger than life. She’s a very overweight cat, and while that might bring a giggle at first glance, it’s something we take very seriously – because her extra pounds are putting a painful strain on her joints, and if she can’t lose the weight, she will need surgery to fix her cruciate. But here’s the hopeful part: her vets believe that with the right home, the right heart, and the right care… she may be able to avoid surgery altogether.

Luna needs someone who will root for her, every single day. She needs an owner who will stick to her vet-prescribed diet (no sneaky bites from other cats’ bowls!), help her find gentle ways to move and stretch, and be her cheerleader through the ups and downs of her weight-loss journey.

Because Luna gives love so freely, so completely, it’s impossible not to fall for her. She adores people. She will melt into your lap like butter. She’ll purr into your hand like it’s the only thing that matters. She loves soft beds, warm sunbeams, and just being near you. Luna can live with other cats, as long as they respect her new meal plan – NO food-sharing allowed!
