Are you looking for your own Clifford the big red dog? Well Elvis is a big brindle puppy who at 6 months of age, is already a whopping 78 pounds or 35.5 kg.
Elvis is still very much a puppy in a giant body and so he can be a bit of a bull in a China shop, as he does not realize he is so big.
He loves to try and sit in your lap during snuggle time and he is just a big bundle of love.

Elvis will need a playmate who is large enough to deal with his strength and watch out when he gets the zoomies as those long legs go flying. He may need slower introductions to certain people and dogs as he can be a bit fearful, but a treat in a hand is hard to resist. Going for walks in busy places has been very scary for Elvis.

If he needs to get by you, instead of walking to the side of you and continuing on his way, he will just walk between your legs, hence he has no idea how big he is.

He loves toys, water, the hose and food. Elvis is very treat motivated, and it can help to give him focus when his immature puppy brain has other ideas. One of his favorite things to do when he does not want to go somewhere or really likes where he is, is to put on the breaks and lie down.

Elvis has so much potential and would really benefit from a home who has had extra-large breed dogs or has done a lot of research. Remember a puppy is a work in progress. We highly recommend some obedient classes for Elvis with a BC SPCA accredited animal kind trainer or a trainer who uses positive reinforcement type training.

Swimming, shorter walks and omega supplements will help Elvis’s large bones and joints stay healthy.
