Meet Sam, a spirited, young Husky/German Shepherd mix who is bursting with energy and ready to bring tons of joy into the right home! True to his one breed, Sam loves to “sing” his heart out and is always up for some playful antics. His ideal home would be with active, adults only and access to a safe and secure yard. His guardians should live in a quieter, more rural area, where he can run and play freely. No condo living for this youngster.
This energetic guy loves his walks, but due to his strong prey drive-particularly towards squirrels, birds, and other critters-Sam will need a guardian who can handle his excitable nature, especially when it’s time for walkies. He walks well on a leash but will need someone strong and confident to keep him focused.
Sam is best as the only pet in the household, allowing him to be the center of attention and receive the focus he deserves. He has some handling sensitivities, so experience with positive reinforcement training is key. With the right guidance, Sam will thrive and form a strong, loving bond with his family.

1. Visit our centre to meet this pet during viewing hours at 3202 Norland Ave, learn more about their ideal match and apply to adopt in person; or
2. Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions, an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs

*Fees vary by location and are subject to change without notice. Adoption fees are subject to PST (Provincial Sales Tax), which will be added at the time of adoption.
All BC SPCA cat/kitten/dog/puppy/rabbit adoptions include a microchip and lifetime registration with the BC Pet Registry.
