Hi. I’m Mickey. Certified Good Boy™ (in training), professional zoomie technician, and part-time ear model.
Okay, let’s just address the elephant-or rather the ears-in the room. Yes, they’re big. Yes, they’re majestic. And no… they don’t always work. Sometimes they hear “Mickey, come!” and translate it to “Mickey, dramatically sprint in the opposite direction like a majestic forest creature.” We’re working on it.
I’m about 21 months old, which means I’m basically a teenager… with legs… and opinions… and the athleticism of an Olympic jumper. I’m a German Shepherd/Hound mix (we think), which means I’ve got the brains, the nose, and the enthusiasm-lots of it-to experience EVERYTHING this world has to offer… preferably at top speed.
My journey? Oh, I’ve had one.
I started out as a little stray pup up in the North Peace region back in February 2025-tiny, scrappy, and already handsome. From there, I packed my invisible suitcase and moved to Quesnel, then eventually made my way all the way down to Vancouver. I even had a home for a while… but turns out I was “too active” and “too much.”
Respectfully… I prefer the term “high-energy adventure enthusiast.”
Look, I’m still a puppy at heart. I’ve got springs in my legs, curiosity in my soul, and a very strong desire to be involved in everything you’re doing at all times. Hiking? Great. Running? Amazing. Training games? YES PLEASE. Sitting quietly for 12 consecutive hours while you binge a show? …I will try. For snacks.
What I really need is someone who:

Gets that I’m still learning and is excited to teach me
Has an active lifestyle (bonus points if you like exploring trails-I am VERY into smells)
Can help channel all this brilliance into being the best dog ever
Doesn’t mind the occasional “selective listening moment” (again… ears are decorative sometimes)

Because here’s the thing-underneath all this playful chaos? I am so full of potential. I’m smart, loyal, eager, and I truly want to bond with my person. I just need someone willing to meet me where I am and grow with me.
Also… I’m very handsome. This is important.
