Meet Papa Bear
Meet Papa Bear – A Dog’s Dog! Papa Bear is a true canine companion and, to flourish, in his forever home, he would love to be welcomed by another confident, friendly, and playful dog. This lovable and handsome boy is looking for his forever home where he can thrive with the right support. His ideal match will be with patient and understanding guardians who are willing to continue to guide him as he adapts to his new life. You’ll be entertained by his playfulness and silly antics.
Papa Bear would love to be the only pet at home, but he would be even happier with a confident and independent sibling. He can be a big, pouty baby when he isn’t the center of attention. At the shelter, we have noticed that he really comes out of his shell when he gets to play with the girls here. While he would also be happy as a solo dog, having a confident doggy friend would really help him with his transition into his new home. Regular playdates with a neighbor dog would also work for this!
Working with Papa Bear has been a rewarding experience for all the staff and volunteers who have had the pleasure of spending time with him. He’s a sweet soul, but he’s a bit unsure about the world, so a calm and secure environment will be essential as he adjusts. His future family will need to provide a safe and secure backyard to help him settle in, as the outside world can sometimes overwhelm him.
Papa Bear is not fond of cats and can be a little nervous around young children, so he would do best in a home without either. Together, we can help this sweet boy find the loving home he deserves!
