Meet Winnie

Add to favourites

Meet Winnie,

Winnie is the shelter sweetheart who has captured the hearts of everyone here with her hilarious and sassy personality. This free spirit knows how to keep us all entertained and has a knack for wrapping everyone around her finger. Her favorite thing in the world is playing with her toys – especially when she gets to share the fun with her human friends!

Winnie can be a bit reactive on her walks and may show some reactivity toward smaller animals and other dogs. While we haven’t seen much of this behavior in the shelter, her size and strength make it something to consider. She’s also a strong puller, but she’s making great progress with halter training.

Winnie can experience separation anxiety, so she would do best in a home where someone works from home or can provide frequent check-ins throughout the day. She’d thrive as the only pet in the household, where she can be the center of attention and receive all the love she deserves.

If you’re looking for a playful, loving dog who will keep you laughing and isn’t afraid to show her sassy side, Winnie could be the perfect fit for your home!

Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Winnie’s person? Apply today!

TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible, and drastically effects the likelihood of receiving a call back.

Dog Pre-Adoption Questionnaire

The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting!

Some animals may not be viewable due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors. Kitten and puppy meet and greets are by application only.

Due to the high number of applications, we will ONLY be following-up with the chosen adopter. If you do not hear back within a week, it’s likely the animal has already found a forever home. Phone inquires and emails regarding the status of your application cannot always be prioritized.

Animals cannot be held for potential adopters for more than 24 hours without a legitimate reason.
