Meet Gus

Add to favourites

Gus is the sweetest boy who hasn’t had much stability in his life and is very eager to find his new beginnings!

We don’t have a whole lot of history on Gus, but we have been learning lots about him since he has been in our care. He can be a bit shy with new people but warms up very quickly and will soak up all the attention he can get. Gus is a goofy boy! He really enjoys being outdoors, rolling around and playing with his toys. Gus loooves food and thinks his bowl makes a pretty good toy too! He has a beautiful coat that will require regular grooming to keep him looking his best. Gus loves being brushed and is always eager for affection. He has done very well when walking on a leash and enjoys taking in all the smells that the world has to offer.

Gus has been used to being with his person at all times. Gus would like to hang out with his people 24/7 and does have separation anxiety. Crate training may be a good idea for the times he must be left alone. A walk and treat puzzle before alone time would help keep him busy and ease his anxiety. He’s working very hard on basic training, is a quick learner and is quite food motivated. Gus would prefer being the only dog in the home, although he may be able to make dog friends!
