Shelby is a loving, sensitive girl who is searching for a calm and patient forever home where she can truly blossom. She has a naturally sweet nature and looks to her people for reassurance, making her an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion once she feels safe.

Shelby enjoys the simple pleasures in life: walks in rural areas, quiet time in the yard, and cozy cuddles with her canine friends. While she’s making great progress, she can still feel nervous in loud or busy environments. Because of this, she would thrive in a peaceful home with a predictable routine and minimal hustle and bustle.

Having previously lived with other animals, Shelby absolutely adores other dogs and takes great comfort in their presence. She would do best in a home with a confident, well-socialized canine companion who can help show her that the world isn’t so scary – and can actually be a fun and exciting place!

Shelby is still building her confidence on leash, so a securely fenced yard is important to give her a safe space to explore and grow at her own pace.

She is currently looking for a local foster-to-adopt home in the Abbotsford or surrounding areas, as she has upcoming veterinary appointments, including her spay surgery and a procedure to correct her entropion. A committed family who can support her through this process will help set her up for lifelong success.
