Meet Chuck
Chuck came to us as part of an outdoor colony, has since been vetted, neutered and is currently awaiting a dental surgery to remove a painful tooth!
Chuck has some anxiety and is definitely frustrated in this new environment, much preferring to find a nice new home and a doting family.
He is looking for a patient guardian that is open to him settling in at his own pace, as he is hesitant to trust and will default to hiding in the home until he is ready to explore.
He has started an anxiety-reducing medication during his stay with us to make him a little more comfortable and would go into his new home with this to help with the transition.
He loves food, which has been a great tool to gain his trust and make friends!
His favourite are salmon Catit tubes and we have made progress with him through offering these.
His favourite person is allowed to give him head pets, but he isn’t afraid to tell the others to get lost when he isn’t interested.
Due to his nervous nature, he is looking for an indoor only home and may do well with another cat in the home due to his previous colony living, or would do fine as an only cat but may take a longer time adjusting.
If you are interested in adopting, please be aware that Chuck is not your average cuddler (yet!) and will likely not be receptive to meeting his new family right away, but bonding with him will be very rewarding to the right family.
The first step is submitting an application, which is linked below.
