Meet Anemone, she is a 5-month-old Lab mix, ready to give an ocean of love!

Anemone’s life started out in very rough waters; she arrived in poor health, very unsure of the world, hesitant of people, yet still eager to show affection and be loved. This special girl is still learning the ins and outs of how to be a dog, but she is patiently waiting for her future family to come to lead her the rest of the way!

Given her life before coming to the shelter, this sweet girl is having a hard time taking in all there is to experience in the world. Practically everything is new to her, and it’s critical that any potential adopters are willing to prioritize creating a safe space for her to learn that the world isn’t so scary after all. It is strongly recommended that adopters have prior experience with fearful dogs before applying for Anemone.

Anemone has never lived in a home before, so she will need a patient guardian who can give her time to settle in, help build up her confidence, and guide her through new experiences. She would do best in a home that can match her budding enthusiasm while also understanding her softer side.

As far as we know, Anemone is a mix of several breeds, including labrador retriever. Labs are very intelligent, high-energy dogs that require a lot of training, stimulation, and exercise. Anemone is at the age where training and routine are critical, so she needs the consistency, patience and love of her new guardian to show her the ways of developing into a mature and fulfilled adult dog.
