Meet Forrest!

Forrest is a handsome male shepherd with a big heart and a whole lot of love to give. This sweet boy is housetrained and loves spending time with his people. He bonds quickly and enjoys being part of the action. He does have a bit of minor separation anxiety, so he’ll thrive best with someone who can help him feel safe and supported when left alone.

Out on walks, Forrest is eager to please, but does get very excited about birds and other wildlife. With a little continued training, he’ll be a great walking companion. He’s also uniquely charming-he’s missing a toe, which doesn’t slow him down one bit and only adds to his character.

Forrest is a big fan of chasing balls… returning them, though? Not really his thing. He prefers to make a game out of it, which is all part of his playful personality.

Because Forrest is quite dog‑reactive, he will need to be the only dog in the home and will benefit from a confident owner who can help him continue working on calm, reward‑based behavior around other dogs. He will need a family that is willing to continue working with him through these behaviors.
