Meet Poppy, a gentle giant with a heart just as big as her paws 🐾

Poppy may only have two loose marbles where her brain should be, but one of them is a deep love of cuddles and the other is an unstoppable zest for life. And honestly? That’s all she really needs.

This extra-large sweetheart is pure love wrapped in a very big body. She’s incredibly sweet and affectionate-just not always aware of her own size. When she’s excited, she may accidentally knock you over, so a bit of balance and a good sense of humor definitely help with this girl.

Poppy has an independent streak and loves to wander and explore her surroundings, happily following her nose wherever it leads. But don’t worry-she always comes thundering back for affection, leaning in for cuddles like she hasn’t seen you in years. Her favorite form of love? Butt scratches. Once you find the right spot, you’re officially her best friend.

1. Visit our centre to meet this pet during viewing hours at 3202 Norland Ave, learn more about their ideal match and apply to adopt in person;
Our viewing/adoption hours are:
1pm-5pm Monday – Wednesday, Friday
1pm-4pm Weekends
Thursday closed to the public.

2. Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit!

An online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.
