This gentle pot-bellied pig has already overcome so much. She came into our care after living in very confined conditions with little opportunity to move or explore the world. Despite this difficult start, she is an incredibly kind, soft-hearted soul who is learning what comfort, safety, and care truly feel like.

At her veterinary exam, she was found to be otherwise healthy, but significantly overweight. With proper nutrition, regular movement, and patient encouragement, she has every opportunity to become more active, comfortable, and confident. Her care plan focuses on gradual, supported weight loss through a pig-appropriate diet and daily opportunities to walk, explore, and engage with her environment 

What shines through most is her gentle nature. She enjoys being brushed and handled kindly, and she is already beginning to show that she wants to connect with the people around her. She has been venturing out of her stall at meal time to seek out her food, getting more and more brave each day venturing further. With consistency and compassion, she has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.

Her foster has been working on getting her comfortable with her feet being handled and now Charlotte loves belly scritches and happily has her hooves trimmed.

Her ideal home will be with someone who:

– Has experience with pigs or is eager to learn
– Can provide safe and secure indoor and outdoor space for daily movement
– Is committed to helping her reach a healthy weight through proper diet and enrichment
– Understands that pigs are intelligent, emotional animals who thrive on routine and connection
– Will give her lots of TLC, scritches and brushing!
