Meet Penny!

Penny is a 3-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog / Great Pyrenees mix who came to rescue due to her owner’s health issues. She’s a big, happy girl with a loving heart and tons of potential just waiting for the right home.

Penny is affectionate, loyal, and very devoted to her people. She has some training and does well with clear, consistent guidance. She enjoys being close to her humans and would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can feel safe and secure. Penny can be a bit clingy and is still working through separation anxiety, but she’s already making progress.

She’s strong and enthusiastic and doesn’t always realize her size, so she may jump up when excited and will need someone comfortable handling a large dog. Penny tends to be protective and may be vocal around new people, warming up more quickly to women. She’s very curious about other animals and may do best as the only pet.

Penny enjoys car rides (especially with an open window!) and loves being part of her family’s day-to-day life. With structure, reassurance, and love, she has the potential to be an incredibly loyal and rewarding companion.

Penny is looking for a committed adopter who will give her the time, patience, and consistency she needs to truly shine.

If Penny sounds like the right fit for your home, please fill in an application below!
