Meet Calypso

Add to favourites

Kittens & cats are in high demand, this centre operates on a first come, first considered basis. Online apps are not considered beforehand.

Calypso is a 4‑month‑old black tortoiseshell kitten with a sensitive soul and a cautious nature. She’s reserved and can be wary of new people, and she may give a little hiss when she’s unsure-but with patience and a calm approach, she shows her softer side.

Once she feels safe, Calypso enjoys gentle affection and is slowly learning that humans can be trusted. She’ll thrive in a quieter, understanding home that can give her the time she needs to grow confident.

She will be booked for her spay surgery (date & location TBA) so her new family will be picking her up as a Foster-To-Adopt, which means she can start settling into her forever home while we arrange her veterinary care. Once her spay surgery is complete the adoption will be finalized. In the meantime, she will need to return to the TriCities shelter for regular check ups.

If Calypso sounds like the purr-fect addition to your home:
1. Come visit during adoption hours (1-4pm Fri-Tues)
2. Speak with one of our adoption counsellors to determine if it’s a good match
3. We’ll review instructions then you’ll be able to take your new feline friend home!
