Meet Rufio
Meet Rufio! He is a 2 year old Pittie mix, searching for his own Neverland!
Rufio found his way to us after being found on the streets as a stray. We’ll never know what his life was like before we met him, but life with him is pretty magical! This little fella is a very affectionate and appeasing boy, his whole body starts wagging as soon as he is greeted by his favourite faces. He was very nervous his first day here, and took a little time to warm up and feel safe.
Rufio came to our care in pretty poor condition, so it’s extremely important that he is fed a highly nutritious diet to stay healthy. He is currently on a hypoallergenic food to rule out allergies. He seems to be pretty new to living inside a home, so house training is a work in progress!
He may need time and patience when exploring new places, and meeting new people, so adopters will need to be willing to give him the time and space he needs to grow. Rufio can initially be fearful of kids, but with older, dog savvy kids, he will warm up to them quickly.
Rufio is good with other dogs and happy to make friends with cats, too! This sweet guy is looking for a safe, loving place to call home, with special, caring people to call family.
